An overall 57% of cable Internet subscribers have experienced a problem with their service in the past 12 months.
This is higher than both DSL subscribers (51% problem experience overall) and dial-up (42%) subscribers."Once the service is set up and running, reliability and customer service is cited as a problem area more often among cable subscribers than DSL subscribers" says Christopher Clegg, President of Lumen Research Associates, LLC.
"This is a testament to hard work put forth by the ILECs over the past couple years to improve the overall DSL service experience."Lumen Research Associates, LLC is a survey research company in Rockville, MD.
The research cited is based on 580 online responses received over the first 6 months of 2003 (95% ? 4.1%).
A complete report of the relationship between broadband and dial-up is available to the general public at www.lumenresearch.com.
